Changes in the Human Body After Death

When death occurs, the body will not have heartbeat, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure. Other signs you may see are:

  • the jaw drops, causing the mouth to stay open

  • eyelids partially open with eyes in a fixed stare.

  • incontinence of both urine and stool.

  • pupils are fixed and dilated (this means there is no blood flow inside the brain)
