I have just witnessed and enjoyed the Matsuri Kauai- A festival cosponsored by the Kauai Economic Development, Hawaii Tourism Authority, and the County of Kauai held at the Kauai Memorial Convention Hall to showcase the different groups of talents and to perpetuate the Japanese culture. A feature from Japan was presented at this event along with some hands on activities (oshinbana, origami, oshie) crafts, kimono dressing. tea ceremony, shodo, bonsai ikebana, etc.
We first attacked the Bento (food for lunch), enjoyed it and then roamed around the activity areas.
