Don’t Go There : Camp – out at the Grand Canyon

Camping is an outdoor recreational activity shared and enjoyed by many and most of all it gets us away from our busy life.

Decide what are the camping destinations you like to stay and prepare lists to bring for a specific number of days to stay. Having the necessary supplies and equipment can make a difference in your overall enjoyment and experience.

My husband likes camping and hiking very much and we did three times but twice in same location in YMCA Camp Slogget, Kokee, Kauai, HI. It was really a great adventure for the family.

I learned lessons for every camping experience. Once you have tried it and when you are already in the camp site you will feel the need of every single thing that are missing in your camping preparation. Every one has unique needs and you will know it once you have tried to camp out.

Here are few tips below to be considered when planning to go camping:

If you camp out in the wild, be sure to check your car, we forgot to check the car’s water and we stopped in the middle of the mountain about 7 more miles for the destination, so we ask help for every car that passed on the road for water. It took 2 hours for us to finally have the right amount of water for the car. So, Don’t Go there without having a quick check! Always have extra for everything

While going down from the mountains, we were running out of fuel! Oh my…… I just keep praying….. that we would arrive downtown for gas… praying…. praying and praying….. Until we were safe, I took a deep breath and said, “Don’t go there again!” Why?

No telephone, No gas station, No water.

By the way, have you heard about Peter Greenberg? He is the nation's most expert and experienced on travel in fact he is the travel host of the Tonight Show. He has a must read book called don't go there. Don't be left behind, order your copy today.
