Center for Student Excellence: An ICT - Assisted Project Proposal

Introduction

Today, everyone has started to adopt a digital lifestyle. Very few people used tape recorders, traditional wired, phone, and film cameras.
Students all over the world grew up with digital technologies, they are approaching their lives differently as they integrate digital technologies - such as computers, Internet, instant messaging, cell phones and e-mail in their daily activities.
Filipino students are also aware of the Information age and some integrate technologies in their lives. That is why the Center for Student Excellence program is the key in preparing the students for the 21st Century school system by developing their fullest potential in technology and thereby prepares them for the world of work.

Objectives:

To conduct 21st Century Youth Leadership Training Workshop to the potential student leaders in Information and Technology.
To conduct technology mentoring workshop.
To create technology mentoring team within the school, clustered school and division wide.
To acquire ICT facilities and Infrastructure
To increase the achievement level of students in all subject areas.

Organize all Computer Technology students in the campus.
Identify potential student leaders for 21st century youth leadership training.
Conduct assessment on Basic Computer Literacy to all students.
Assign tech coaches for every students and conduct mentoring all year round.

Project Beneficiaries:

Direct beneficiaries are the students on where the Center will be fostered (Lupon Vocational High School, Lupon, Davao Oriental, Philippines. Further direct recipients are the teachers, the administrators and officers, and the faculty and staff members.
Indirect beneficiaries are the people, maybe a student or not, from the other localities exterior of the school where the center will be put up who likes to know what the programs of this project is.
Project Sustainability:
Php 50.00 membership fee for the whole year course and package of Computer and Internet Literacy.

* All fees are collected for the salary of the staff and PC maintenance, electricity bills and Internet bills.
